Michael T. Rogers, age 77, passed away on Sunday October 1, 2023 at the OSU Wexner Medical Center after suffering a fatal stroke. Born June 6, 1946, and raised in Baltimore before joining the Army for 30 years of service. During that time in the Army served in Vietnam and was an award-winning ROTC Rifle Team coach. Even after his time in the Army, Michael still served to protect in being a police office in Joplin Missouri and here in Columbus. Even going so far as to travel and assist with government training as a government contractor. Michael is survived by his sons Anthony and Aaron Rogers; Nephew Jeff (Dee) Stebelton; Grand Niece Sarah Stebelton, Grand Nephew Jake (Kelly) Stebelton; and Great Grand Nephew Hudson Ward. Preceded in death by his wife Connie S. Rogers, father Barron Rogers, mother Wanda Biengar. Friends may visit 5 to 8 pm on Thursday at the HALTEMAN-FETI & DYER FUNERAL HOME 436 N. Broad St., Lancaster, OH 43130, and 9 to 10 am Friday where the funeral service will follow at 10 am with Pastor Paul Wymer officiating. Interment at Betzer Cemetery, Carroll.
