
LANCASTER: Mildred Shaw Keller age 102, passed away Saturday June 4, 2010 at Crestview Nursing Home after many years of Alzheimer's. Mildred was born in Jacksonville, Ohio, to the late Walter A. Shaw and Bessie Ogle Shaw.
Her school years were spent in North Berne and Dresden, Ohio. Two siblings, Kenneth Shaw of Zanesville and Virginia McGlade Shaw of Dresden also preceded her, in addition to her husband of 69 years, Albert Keller and their son Bob Keller and a grandson Johnny Reffitt and his father Tom Reffitt, all of Lancaster.
She is survived by: her daughter Pearleene Reffitt and Pearleene's son Robin Reffitt of Lancaster, a grandson who was raised by her, Dan L. (Ruth) Keller Ph.D, his two daughters Christine and Corey of the Columbus area. Granddaughter, Janet (John) McMurtry and their son Ryan of Colorado and a great-granddaughter Ashley (Phil) Olivarez of Columbus. In addition a longtime, devoted friend of Lancaster, Mert Campbell. A cousin Luta Gilmore Fink of Michigan and many nieces and nephews.
Mildred was a member of Eastern Star, Women of the Moose and First United Methodist Church.
Dignity Memorial services will be held 7:00 P.M. Thursday at the Halteman-Fett & Dyer Funeral Home with Pastor Cheryl Foulk officiating. Friends may call 4:00 P.M. until time of service on Thursday at the Funeral Home. Burial will be at a later date in Dresden, Ohio with the rest of her deceased family members. The family respectfully asks that in lieu of flowers, a donation to First United Methodist Church Music Fund, 163 E. Wheeling St. Lancaster in Mildred's memory would be greatly appreciated as we remember a wonderful person who lived in twelve decades and through eighteen United States Presidents.
