Nancy E. Peters

Nancy Ellen (Eckard) Peters, 70, of Lancaster, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, January 27, 2022. Nancy was born the seventh of eight children, on August 24, 1951 to Ada Kathryn (Johnson) and John H Eckard, of Amanda. She graduated with honors from Amanda Clearcreek High School in 1969. She was active in track and field, earning many awards and accomplishments. Nancy retired from Chase Bank after 30 years in banking. Nancy was a faithful servant to the Lord, spending her time throughout the years in various capacities in her respective churches. She will always be remembered as an extremely dedicated, devoted and loving mother and grandmother.

Nancy is survived by her daughters, Nicole (Justin) Suttles and Crystal (Andy) Moyer; five grandchildren, Jillian, Avery, Bellamy and Gavin Suttles and AJ Moyer, who were her world; her adored grandpuppies; sisters, Elaine Harnetty, Kay Snider, Pamela Baer, and Jeannie Eckard; brother Sam Eckard; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother John M Eckard and sister Peggy Bosworth.

Visitation will take place Tuesday, February 1st from 2-4PM and 6-8PM at the Halteman Fett & Dyer Funeral Home. Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, February 2nd at 1PM, with burial immediately following at Floral Hills Memory Gardens.
