
Norma “Jean” Cunningham, 90, went to meet her Lord, Thursday, December 21, 2016 at Arbors at Carroll Place. She was born on June 21, 1926 to Lester Samuel Turner and Mary Isabel (Truex) Turner in Byesville, Ohio. She graduated from Byesville High School in 1944. Norma was a longtime member of the Fifth Avenue Church of Christ and an avid bowler until 2014. She was also a Bowler Hall of Fame inductee.
Norma was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 60 years, Raymond James in 2008; infant son; sister, Marjorie Ellen Linkhorn in 2016; and longtime friend, Ottie Chenoweth.
She is survived by daughters; Kathy (Charles) Schultz of Washington C.H., Ellen (John) Altop of Lancaster; grandchildren, Jennifer (Gregg) Townsend of Wadsworth, Megan (Patrick) Donahey of Lancaster, Joshua (Melissa) Altop of Newark; great-grandchildren, Kyle and Emily Townsend, Jennifer Donahey, and Kaylor Altop; brother-in-law, James Linkhorn; sister-in-law, Charlotte (Cunningham) Vilardo of Wisconsin; brother-in-law, Clark Cunningham of Cambridge; many nieces and nephews; along with special friends, Aldona Kozar, Alice Snider, Geri James, and Gloria Azbell.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, December 28th, 2016 at 11:30 AM at the HALTEMAN-FETT & DYER FUNERAL HOME with Dave Tingler officiating. Friends may call on Tuesday from 5-8PM, as well as ONE HOUR PRIOR to the service on Wednesday. Burial is to follow at Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Lancaster.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Fifth Ave. Church of Christ.
