Paul Wayne Parrish

Paul Wayne Parrish, 71, of Columbus, Ohio, went to be with our Lord and Savior on January 10, 2022. He was born in San Francisco, California on August 1, 1950 to the late Ollie C. and Inez (Kerner) Parrish. Paul is survived by his wife of 34 years Connie (Rowley) Parrish, sons Scott (Jennifer) Parrish and Sean (Kaydon) Parrish; grandchildren Tristessa Parrish, Angel Parrish and Sean Parrish Jr., nieces, nephews, cousins, many dear friends, longtime friends Steve Hatfield and Ron Scott and close friends Chuck Davis, Nicholas Moussi, Freddy De La Cruz and Freddy B. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Ollie “Slick” and stepsister Jan. Special thanks to the nurses and medical staff at Mount Carmel East for their dedication in caring for Paul.

Paul was a 1968 graduate from Lancaster High School. He was also a veteran of the US Army and was stationed in Heidelberg, Germany. He began his career at Anchor Hocking. Later in his career, Paul worked for Ricart Ford, ARR-CRS, Computer Workshop and then began his state employment in the forms department at Franklin Medical Center. He retired in 2017 as an IT Specialist at Ohio Department of Public Safety. Among his many passions in life were his love for family and friends, his dogs, NASCAR, helping family and neighbors in need, working on computers and music. Paul sang and played guitar in many local bands in the Lancaster, Ohio area including Pecos Canyon and Touch. He also enjoyed singing and playing bass with Rob Tickle and playing bass in the contemporary service band at Lithopolis United Methodist Church.

To celebrate the life of a man so deeply loved, friends may call at Halteman-Fett and Dyer, 436 North Broad Street in Lancaster, Ohio on Saturday, February 5, 2022 from 1pm to 3pm until time of his Celebration of Life at 3pm with Pastor Alex Feldman officiating.
