Pauline Weimer Sutherland

Pauline Sutherland-Wilson, age 85 of Lancaster passed away Sunday, April 20, 2014 at the Pickering House, Lancaster. She was born Nov. 4, 1928 in Muskingham County and raised in Lancaster by Rev. Paul O. & Gail B. Weimer. Pauline attended Lancaster public schools and graduated in the class of 1946. She attended Capitan University Conservatory of Music and graduated from Ohio University with a Bachelors of Science in Education. She was a first grade school teacher at Kirkersville, Ohio. Pauline loved music and directed youth and adult choirs at her father’s churches. Later she was church organist for 11 ½ years at Zeigler Emmanuel Lutheran Church. Pauline is survived by sons; James (Sheila) Snyder, Paul David Snyder, three grandsons, four great-granddaughters and five great-great-grandsons, sister, Virginia Ackley, many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, a step-son Lee (Laura) Wilson, step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents, husbands; Jack F. Sutherland (1985) and Leslie L. Wilson (2008), brother, Francis Frue, and sister Esther Warner. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Halteman-Fett & Dyer Funeral Home with Rev. Merlyn Seitz officiating. Burial will be at Zeigler Church Cemetery. Friends may call 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church at N. Berne or to the Zeigler Cemetery Association ts under the direction of Halteman-Fett & Dyer Funeral Home & Memorials, Lancaster, OH.

We will truly miss Pauline we only knew her a short 7 months. I adored her, she was a great landlady. I wish we could have known she passed we would have like to have paid our respects to her.
