Phyllis Tucker

Phyllis Louise (Culver) Tucker born August 10, 1933 went home to be with her Lord and Savior on February 19, 2024 in Lancaster, Ohio. She was born in Warren, Ohio to Donald and Goldie (Cross) Culver. Preceded in death her brother Larry Culver and son Timothy Tucker.

Survived by her loving husband of 71 years, Reverend Max Edward Tucker. Her son Keith (Karen) Tucker and daughter-in-law Lorna Tucker. Sisters Donna Culver, Barbara Wright, and brother Arden Culver.

Grandchildren Alicia (Daniel) Kirkland, Andrew Tucker, Stephanie (Aaron) McManus and Peter Tucker. Great Grandchildren Luke Kirkland, Max Tucker and Jonathan Kirkland. Phyllis and Max married June 16, 1952, and headed right into ministry serving in many churches across the Mid-West. Phyllis faithfully served the Lord through secretarial, teaching, women’s groups, missions, and singing. Phyllis never stopped sharing her love for the Lord, even if she was laid up in the hospital or in assisted living. She touched so many lives during her life and will leave a special mark on everyone. The family would like to extend a heartfelt appreciation to all the staff at Buckeye Care & Rehabilitation and Fairhope Hospice for the loving care extended to Phyllis, Max and the family. Special thank you to the church family at Calvary Baptist Church for their love, care, and visits. Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Saturday February 24, 2024 at Halteman-Fett & Dyer funeral home.
