Raymond C. Morris Jr., 90 of Lancaster, went home to be with the Lord with his family by his side signing Hymns in his final moments on August 17, 2026 at Fairfield Medical Center. Raymond was a God loving husband, father of 8 children, grandfather, uncle and was loved and respected by many family and friends. He was a member of the Bible Baptist Church, retired Millwright from Anchor Hocking after 30 years. Ray and Shirley spent their winters passionately for 20 years managing the Wild Wood Campground in Florida. He was an avid hunter, golfer and Ohio State Buckeye fan.
He is survived by children; Greg Morris, Doug (Patsy) Morris, Cheryl (Mike) Winegardner, Peggy (Jay) Shepherd, Paula (David) DeBolt, and Christine Gustafson, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many dear friends. Ray had a special place in his heart for his companion, Atha.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Morris, parents, Raymond C Morris Sr and Laura Marie Smitz Morris, beloved sons Curt and Chuck Morris, grandsons Ricky Mathias and Gregory Morris, siblings, Marie Conrad, Elma Bartlett and Cleveland Morris.
A Celebration of Life service will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday at Bible Baptist Church, with Pastor Micah Hamilton officiating. Burial will be at Maple Grove Cemetery. Friends may call 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. Thursday at Halteman-Fett & Dyer Funeral Home.
