Retta Kaye Archer

Retta Kaye Archer, 80 of Lancaster went to be with her Lord and Savior on November 20, 2021. She was born April 17, 1941, in Lancaster to the late Fred and Adeline (Landis) Harman. She attended Rushville Union High School before marrying her Husband of 62 years, Harold E. Archer. Retta was a member of Fairfield Christian Church and the Christian Companion Sunday School Class.

She is survived by her husband Harold, sons Brian (Darlene) Archer and Daren (Jodi) Archer; grandchildren Matthew (Raquelle) Archer and Emily (Eric) Singer; great-grandchildren Kinsey, Brant, Rhett and Reagan Archer, Madelyn Lockaby, Rylee and Carter Singer, and brother and sister-in-law Francis (Caroline) Archer.

She was preceded in death by her parents, great-granddaughter Evelyn Archer, sisters Juanita Kinser and Irene Grile, fathers and mothers-in-law, Hugh (Marie) Archer and Harry (Nellie) McCormick Sr., brothers and sisters-in-law Don (Agnes) Archer, Larry McCormick, Harry McCormick Jr. and May McCormick.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, November 24th, 2021 at 12PM at Halteman-Fett & Dyer Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Barbee officiating. Burial to follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. Friends may visit on Tuesday from 4PM-7PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting memorial donations be made to the American Diabetes Association or Fairfield Christian Church, 1965 N. Columbus St., Lancaster, OH 43130 in Retta’s memory.

Babs and I remember a great window of time when the Archers started at Fairfield Christian Church! They shined a hreat light! She encouraged the entire family...a Shepherdess! Beautiful people! She's a few steps in front of us! Praying for the family in this season!
