

Richard Merl Keller, 86 of Baltimore passed away on Thursday, June 30th, 2022 at his residence. Richard was born in Fairfield County, Ohio on February 28th, 1936 to the late Merl and Alvira Keller. He was a 1955 Graduate of Liberty Union High School and played on L.U.’s ’53 and ’54 Mid State League championship football teams.
He proudly served his country in the United States Army and was a lifelong farmer. Richard was a member of the Christ United Methodist Church in Baltimore, as well as a member for over 50 years in the Farm Bureau Council #1. He was on the Fairfield Agricultural Society Board for 33 years and also served as the Chair of the Board.
Richard is survived by his loving wife, Melanie (Musser) Keller; children, Kevin (Keith Brengle) Keller and David (Sherry) Keller; grandchildren, Ashleigh (Tony) Traster and Zachary (Krishna) Keller; great-grandchildren, Addison, Hayden, Alexis, and Alyssa; sister, Mildred VanDyke; as well as many other loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his sister, Sarah Starling.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, July 6th, 2022 at 11AM at the Christ United Church in Baltimore (700 S. Main St. Baltimore, OH 43105). Burial with Military Honors is to follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Baltimore. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 2PM-4PM & 6PM-8PM at the HALTEMAN-FETT & DYER FUNERAL HOME, as well as ONE HOUR PRIOR to the services on Wednesday at the Church.
