Richard J. Marshall, age 88, of Lancaster, OH passed away on Sunday, June 26, 2022. Dick was born on March 7, 1934, in Cleveland, OH, to the late Nicholas and Estelle (Peltz) Marshall. He was a 1956 graduate of Carnegie Tech in Pittsburgh, PA with a degree in Chemical engineering. In 1957 he served in the US Army Chemical Corps. His career included a US Patent, employment with Stoner-Mudge and US Steel in Pittsburgh, PA, Globe Albany in Buffalo, NY, and in 1987 he retired from 15 years in the Engineering Dept. of Anchor Hocking in Lancaster, OH. He retired for good in 1996 from the Energy Recovery unit at PPG in Circleville, OH. Dick was secretary for the Olivedale Golf League for many years. He was a member of the Olivedale Bowling League. Survivors include his wife Loretta (Layne) Marshall, son Kenneth S. Marshall, daughter Phyllis (Jonathan) Moore, granddaughter Amanda J. Moore and grandson Nathan M. Moore. A private family viewing was held at Halteman-Fett & Dyer funeral home followed by burial on July 1, 2022 in Floral Hill Memory Gardens, Lancaster, OH. His friend Dave Tingler gave prayer at the burial.
