Robert Lee George, of Lancaster, went home to be with his precious Savior, Jesus Christ, on February 10, 2025, after living 90 years. Bob graduated in 1952 from Pleasantville High School and was Class President. After graduation, he worked as an auto mechanic, carpet layer, and preacher. Bob married Kay in 1953, and they had three children: Doug, Cynthia, and Stephen. Bob started the Agape Fellowship and held a prison ministry for several years. If you knew Bob, also known as: Bobby, Rob, Fuzzy Haired Bob, or Old Man George, you knew he was going to call you by name, tell you a joke, and talk about Jesus. Bob was a doting husband to Kay for 67 years, before she passed. He was always willing to plant more flowers or do projects around the house for her. They took many trips together, and valued their church family, friends, and family. He always had a smile on his face. If Bob knew you were struggling, he would offer to pray for you, right then and there, even if it was in the middle of Wal-Mart. He was a good and faithful servant and was happy to share about his love for the Lord. Bob is preceded in death by his parents, his 4 older siblings, his wife, Kay, and his daughter, Cynthia. Bob is survived by his sons, Doug (Betty) and Stephen (Stacey), 10 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren (and another on the way)and 2 great-great-granddaughters.
Arrangements are at Halteman-Fett & Dyer Funeral Home on Sunday, February 23rd, 3:00 - 4:00 pm. Memorial Service is to follow at 4:00PM.
