Robert (Bob) Daniel Hoffmann, 84, passed away on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 in Lancaster, OH. He was born on December 2, 1933 to the late Edward and Margaret (Eisz) Hoffmann. Bob graduated from Pleasantville High School, class of 1951. He worked as a carpet layer for Totten’s Carpets before eventually retiring as an Independent Contractor. Bob proudly served as an Army medic in Korea. He was a quartet singer, flagger for Soap Box Derby, softball coach, volunteer fire fighter for Pleasantville and Thurston, as well as ran squad for Amanda. Bob volunteered for 40 years as a part of the chain gang for Amanda Football, always looking forward to the Friday night lights. He enjoyed fishing, traveling, family and making others laugh while his wife braced herself for his ornery sense of humor.
Bob is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Anna (Martin) Hoffmann; siblings Dave, Dick, John, Butch, Minnie (Lutz); children, Kim (Tom) Kirchgessner, Kelly (Greg) Kemp, Danielle (Ben) Stermole, Michelle (Brandon) Paxton; live in daughter and great grandchild, Kaci Morin; 8 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and 1 great, great grandchild. He was preceded in death by both parents, brother, George Hoffmann and sister, Mary Peters.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Monday, July 30, 2018 at the HALTEMAN-FETT & DYER FUNERAL HOME. Interment will follow in Floral Hills Cemetery with Military Honors. Visitation will be Sunday, July 29th from 2-4PM & 6-8PM at the funeral home; as well as ONE HOUR PRIOR to the services on Monday.
In honor of his many years of volunteer service, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Amanda Clearcreek Athletic Boosters. The family would like to thank the Fairfield Medical Center Fifth Floor Staff, Lanfair Pleasantville Hall staff and all of the amazing medical professionals over the many years.
