Rodney Leon Ruble, 86 of Lancaster, passed away on Wednesday, June 22nd, 2022. Rodney was born in Lithopolis, Ohio on September 1st, 1935 to the late Joseph and Mary Fern Ruble. He retired from American Electric Power after 38 years of service as a Lineman. Rodney started Rube’s Concessions in 1978, he also built houses and sold real estate. Rodney was a “Snow Bird”, enjoying his time in Florida. He was a member of the Henderson Creek Club. Rodney loved playing shuffleboard, playing golf and fishing in his younger years. Of all the things he enjoyed, the most important thing to him was his family and spending time with them.
Rodney is survived by his daughters, Ronda (Brad) Spangler, Rachelle Ruble; grandchildren, Roxanne (Chris) Sams, Bryanna (Mitchell Harding) Bickerstaff, and Kaylee Bickerstaff; great-grandchildren, Amelia and Alex Sams, and Maree Leone Harding; numerous cousins and other family members; his lifelong friend, Tom Judy and his four legged companion, Foxy.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Donna L. Ruble; his parents; and his lineman friends, Frank and Lewis.
Dignity Cremation is to take place through the HALTEMAN-FETT & DYER FUNERAL HOME. A Celebration of Rodney’s Life will be announced at a future date.
