Tommy Gene Maloy, 94 of Lancaster, passed away on Sunday August 17, 2025, at the Main Street Terrace Care Center. Tommy was born on January 14, 1931 in Wellston, Ohio to the late Wade M Maloy and Helen Gentry Maloy.
Tommy was in the US Navy for 20 years working with the Defense Intelligence Photography Service Division and Navy Seabees (Navy Construction Force). After retiring from the military, he worked as a photographer with The Ohio State University for 20 years. He was a multisport athlete, an avid scratch golfer and loved all things sports.
Tommy is survived by his children, Deborah Miller, Steve (Florence) Maloy, Fred (Patty) Maloy, Andy (Julia) Maloy, Becky (Paul) Klaczak; 4 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded by his wife, best friend and true love of 74 years, Nancy Jane Maloy, parents, sister, Rita Gilbert.
A Celebration of Tommy’s Life will take place at 2:00 PM Monday August 25, 2025 at the HALTEMAN-FETT & DYER FUNERAL HOME. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service on Monday.
