William Leroy Underwood

William L. (Bill) Underwood, 69 of Carroll, entered Eternal Life peacefully on Friday, February 10th, 2017. He was born January 18th, 1948 to the late Harold L. and Evelyn P. Underwood. He loved much and was loved a lot. His family was his world. William was the former Mayor of Carroll and a veteran of the United States Navy.

Bill is survived by his daughters, Chrystal Sorrell and Maria (Justin) Ellars. Son, Bradley (K’Lee) Underwood. Grandchildren, Savannah Fulk, Meleena Sorrell, Miranda, Haley, and Reed Ellars, Wesley and Adalee Underwood. Brothers, Harold (Nellie) Underwood, Robert (Mary) Underwood, Jim (Diane) Underwood, Steven (Kathy) Underwood, and Randy Underwood. Sisters, Marilyn Rager, Sandra (Ted) Price, Sharon (Carl) Mathias, Diane Roby, Peggy (George) Nicolia, and Pam (Dave) Hall. As well as his good friends, Bob and Brenda Stottsberry, Cindy Daubenmire, and his beloved dog, Harley.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Phyllis Morgan. Also by his faithful and loving cat, Good ol’ Frankie.

Funeral services will be held at the HALTEMAN-FETT & DYER FUNERAL HOME on Thursday, February 16th, 2017 at 11AM with Pastor Tom Underwood officiating. Friends may visit on Wednesday from 2-4PM & 6-8PM at the funeral home. Burial is to follow at Carroll Cemetery, with military honors.
