Carol was born in Montreal Quebec on February 4, 1952, but spent most of her adult life in British Columbia.
Carol was the beloved mother of Jaimie Hill, and the proud and loving Nanna to her grandson Brody. She will be sadly missed by her siblings Lynne Brockway (Gord), Elaine Swan (Brad Borgstrom), Bruce McConomy (Janet Scarborough) and Judy Vogel (Ken), as well as her many nieces and nephews.
Carol was predeceased by her parents Joan and Ernest McConomy.
Carol had a long and wonderful career as a Registered Nurse in the Victoria area. In recent years was a respected and supportive part of the Health Unit of the Pacheedaht First Nation. Her warm spirit and genuinely caring nature resonated with all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Carol’s “happy place” was enjoying the ocean view at her home in Port Renfrew, where she loved to knit and enjoyed long walks on the beach. She loved to spend cherished time with her daughter Jaimie and grandson Brody, often preparing Nanna’s “special spaghetti sauce”, a particular family favourite.
Cremation has taken place through Henderson’s Langley Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be arranged at a future date.
