I just found out, am at a complete loss for words. I met Daane as he popped into town from time to time, as Peter Nygard was my former neighbor. He was always a gentleman, brilliant and patient beyond measure.

My heart goes out to Jenn, their three gorgeous children, to both of their extended families.

An incredible loss.

I am really going to miss you buddy. As is echoed here throughout, you were the kindest, most calming individual I have ever had the pleasure of interacting with.

I will share this memory...

I had been visiting with Daane in Winnipeg, and offered to take him to lunch.
Danne, would you like to join me for Dim Sum?
Sure, Daane replied.
So I picked him at work, and we chatted away on our drive to the restaurant, parked the car, went inside and sat down.. at which point Daane asked " What is DimSum?"
Well it's mostly steamed dumplings, I replied.
What's in the dumplings? asked Daane.
Seafood, and pork mostly, I replied.
... with a grinny, nervous smile... Daane exclaims, I am allergic to shrimp!

Careful ordering and lots of funnies during lunch.

But, that's Daane. Always good to go. No questions. True and down to earth kinda of guy, with a contagious smile.

Daane and I worked together on Peter Nygard’s first BOEING 727 and his most recent 727. Daane worked for the Nygård company and was our go to person for the aircraft . We could not have asked for a better or more hard working and dedicated person to work with . Daane was also more than someone we worked we with, he became a friend . A friend that will be dearly missed. He will stay forever in our thoughts and prayers. God bless Daane, God bless his family.

I spoke to Daane at least once a week for the last 20 years ...and yes he always answered the phone and yes he always solved the issue...and best of all he always listened ..I can still clearly hear “right, right” it never felt that he had to rush to be somewhere else he just was there for all of us.
What a great team we had ...all of us working together in the Bahamas, LA and Winnipeg -
and that laugh of his was infectious and ever present even on the hardest days ...I’ll miss you and I’ll always, always remember you Daane.

I was so privileged to have known Daane. He was a very very special person. You automatically felt an instant kinship with him. He had a big beautiful smile. Even though he preferred to stay in the background he was one of the most charismatic person I have ever met. I am so bewildered that he is gone, I just can’t come to terms with his departure from this earth.
God speed my friend.
Rest In Peace...

You were the light among us all. You were the one that we’d all go to for advise, support, and at times just to hear that calm and collected voice/personality that would put us at ease. You were an angel on this earth that we were blessed to have and then God did his calling among your soul to be taken to the kingdom of heaven. We will forever ♾ miss you!! The days have passed and still hard to believe. My prayers and condolences to your loving family. Until we meet again Mr. Clifford.

XO 😘

My Daanester
From the time you started at Nygard
I felt you were like another son to me

My Daanester
Loved rocket candies
Every Halloween I brought you the leftover rockets

My Daanester came to my home fixed my computer and had dinner with us

Every time I was searching for something and was blocked I would just call you

and my Daanester would unblock me and let me get the images I needed

In our society one of the highest compliments you can give is
He was a good man

Daane was a good man

The only thing you never had here on earth was wings, you have them now my Daanester

Bless you my friend

It was a blessing to meet Daane while working on Mr Nygard’s private plane ...almost a decade ago.

Daane was always so cool, calm and collected despite all his responsibility at work.

One day, in the beginning of my work on NForce, I said to him “How do you do it” with no reference to anything...
He said “ I pray a lot” and gave a big beautiful smile and laughed...

His faith meant so much to him.. he shared that faith with everyone that he touched.
A dear dear Angel who always guided us with his gentle heart.

May his loving arms stay wrapped tightly around his beautiful family..

You will be missed by all...XO
