Born December 23, 1960 Dave grew up in Esperanza, Tahsis and Gold River on Vancouver Island, fully engaging the west coast life of outdoor adventures with many friends. He attended Briercrest Bible College from 1981-1983 and was thrilled to play for their hockey team.
He worked many years at the Gold River pulp mill as a Supervisor and married his beloved, Gaye Brandenstein, in Seattle on May 16, 1992.
