Dad was born in Blackfalds, AB, moving with his family to Murrayville in 1938. He was considered a Langley Pioneer, never leaving Murrayville. He married the love of his life, Gertie Hodges, in 1953. They have a loving legacy of children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Dad had an amazing work ethic and was known for his outstanding customer service. He worked for K.J.
Moore Electric in Fort Langley and then in 1957, joined the family business at Barron and Son garage with his brother Walt. Our Dad could talk to anyone, making friends easily, and had many lifelong friendships.
He is lovingly remembered by his children, Joan (Don) Greenfield, Dan (Sandra) Barron and Bev (Darren) McClelland, seven grandchildren, three great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He is survived by sister Jean, sister-in-law Isabelle and brothers-in-law Budd and Bob.
He was predeceased by his loving wife Gertie in 2003, his parents, Bill and Angie Barron, and his siblings Bill, Bruce, Muriel, Walt, Robert and Patricia.
Dad’s Celebration of Life will be on Monday, December 2nd, 1:00pm at Murrayville Community Hall, 21667-48th Ave, Langley City, BC V3A 3N.
We want to thank his compassionate caregivers on the 2nd floor at Langley Memorial Hospital.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Canadian Cancer Society or the Langley Memorial Hospital Foundation.
