Elaine Christine Wright

It is with cherished memories and saddened hearts that the loved ones of Elaine Christine Wright announce her passing, surrounded by family, on Thursday, April 18, 2019, at the Langley Lodge at the age of 82.

Elaine is survived by her daughters Dalaine (Garry), Melinda and Laura (Jim), grandchildren, Shantelle (Tyler), Christina (Dean), Joshua (Lyndall), Melissa, Devin (Kira) and Spencer, and great grandsons Cade and Kai. She also leaves behind her sister Gail (John), brother Tony (Arlene), many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

Elaine spent many years of her life giving to others and helping those in need of support and kindness. Some of her fondest memories were volunteering and giving to her community. She had many passions. She was an avid reader, liked to travel and absolutely loved to spend time at the beach. In years past she loved to work in her garden and in her later years she found a love and skill in painting. She was an eternal student- always learning new things and passing that knowledge on.

Her greatest joy was her family. She was incredibly proud of all of her children and grandchildren. She loved family gatherings and being surrounded by the laughter and joy of those special moments. She cherished each of us and we all had a special place in her heart.

Elaine was very strong in her Christian faith and has joined many loved ones who gathered to bring her to heaven; son Graig, mother Bernice, father Clarence, father Charles, brother Martin and many loving dear friends ~ Together they watch over us and comfort our hearts.

A celebration of her life will be held on her birthday, Saturday May 11, 2019, at the Milner Chapel in Langley, BC at 10:30am, followed by tea and time to share memories with her loved ones.
