Gay was born October 4th, 1944 in Winnipeg, Manitoba the daughter of William and Mary Demchuk.
Gay was the G.O.A.T in everything she did. Wonderful Mother, Grandmother/Great Grandmother, Wife, Sister, Aunt and Friend. Her greatest joys in life were her family, cooking, gardening, laughter, and music. Her special memories included our many family camping trips, vacations, especially the 2001 trip to California with all her family and grandchildren.
Gay was a very special lady with amazing qualities. In her younger years she enjoyed archery and sharp shooting. She river rafted down the North Saskatchewan River and participated in various competitions. Most importantly Gay was the most selfless person you could meet, she gave always and never asked for anything in return.
Remaining to cherish Gay’s memory are her husband Frank of 63 years, daughters Gail, Dana, Susan (Dan), Dawn (Dave); grandchildren, Matthew, Sharlynn (Tyson), Curtis (Sarah), Carly (Duane), Sierra (Zack), Victoria (Matt). Great-grandchildren, Adrianna, Tayven, Linden, Kaleb, Isabella, Lorenzo, Lilah, Saskia, and Miles. Sisters Joy and Judy; her lovely nieces and nephews, Brent, Tina, Derek, Brian and Leah.
A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
In lieu of flowers or donations Gay would have loved you to spend time with your family and loved ones and leaves you with two of her favourite quotes.
“The best helping hand that you will ever receive is the one at the end of your own arm” – Fred Dehner 1938
“You never know how strong you are until being strong is your only choice” – Bob Marley
