It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of Glen Fraser, age 72 who departed this world on July 3, 2025. Glen was a cherished dad, husband, brother and friend. Predeceased by his mom, Doris and dad, Stanley.
Leaving behind are his heartbroken family. His wife of 45 years Sharon, son Andrew (the light of his life), brothers Leonard (Sharon), Darryl, Kevin (Stacey), sister-in-law Edyie, Aunt Loro, plus his niece, nephews, numerous cousins, and his circle of friends.
Born in Vancouver and moving to rural Langley as a young boy, Glen grew up with his loving brothers. He loved his family and friends, fishing, sailing, his cats, baking pies and travel. A lifelong plumber, he retired from his job at Surrey Memorial Hospital in 2019. Only when he retired did he realize the impact he made when he discovered they hired 3 plumbers to replace him. With retired life a bit too quiet for Glen, he returned to work on a casual basis, doing the job that he loved and mentoring anyone who asked for his help or advice.
Glen was a longtime member of the Langley Masonic Lodge and valued his friendship with each and every one, especially his Scottish Degree Team.
Glen was a kind and thoughtful man who was known to quote Star Trek to fit any situation. He will be sadly missed. “Live long and Prosper” in your life to come Glen.
A funeral service will be held at St. Andrew’s Anglican Church, 20955 Old Yale Road, Langley BC on Thursday, July 17th at 2:00 p.m. with reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations, if you wish, can be made to the charity closest to your heart.
