It is deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Graham Brackstone on June 5, 2022, at the age of 66 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 29 years, Karen; daughters Reanna and Charlotte and his furry friend Willow; siblings, Martin, Ian and Debbie; and numerous other family members and friends from the U.K, Canada and the U.S.
Graham was born in Bournemouth, England on April 18, 1956 to his parents Audrey and Kenneth Brackstone. He left England in 1987 when he got a job offer in Los Angeles. He and Karen lived there for 4 years, loving the LA lifestyle. In 1991, a good friend from England who co-owned a helicopter company (S&H Heli Pro) at Langley airport needed a qualified structural engineer so Graham and Karen decided to move to Canada for a new adventure!
Graham loved Canada for all the outdoor activities he could try. He could often be found at Whistler either skiing with his family or mountain biking with his buddies, and enjoyed the local craft breweries at the end of his activities. He also loved to travel and enjoyed many family holidays and various work trips that took him all over the world. The family has fond memories of a 5 week RV trip across Canada and back through the United States stopping at many cities and landmarks.
Graham was an avid bike rider and rode the 200 kilometre “Ride to Conquer Cancer” twice and was dedicated in his efforts to raise money for the BC Cancer Foundation. He will forever be known for his positivity, hard working attitude and absolute love of life.
In lieu of flowers please consider donating to the BC Cancer Foundation. A memorial service will be held on June 24th, 2022, at 11am at Henderson’s Funeral Home in Langley, to be followed by a celebration of life at “Adrian’s At The Airport”.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.hendersonslangleyfunerals.com for the Brackstone family.
