John Gladiuk

December 26, 1940 – February 6, 2022
Obituary of John Gladiuk
IN THE CARE OF

Henderson's Langley Funeral Home

It is with sad hearts we announced the passing of John Gladiuk, 81, at his Aldergrove home on February 6th 2022.

John was born to parents Tatiana and Trofim Gladiuk, on December 26th 1940, in Vancouver British Columbia.

And was predeceased by his parents, his brother Paul and niece Linda Rai (Paul’s daughter). John is survived by his sister Rose Lane of Richmond and her children Janet, James and Darren. Paul’s sons Jim and Ron, and several nieces and nephews.

John was raised in Richmond BC, and that is where he met Sharon Pike in 1958. They were married on June 23 1962. Together they raised 3 children, Jonathan Graham (Keely), Bruce Aaron and Tania June (Yann). They have two grand children, Andrew Jonathan (Kristin) and Sage Tatiana.

Richmond was home to John most of his life, until his move to Aldergrove in 2014. Those early days in Richmond found John living and working on his family farm with his Mom and Dad and sister Rose.

He attended Richmond High school, and in his late teens decided to start “J&M” Custom Tractor Works with his childhood friend Morris. Later in 1964 he and Sharon formed their construction company and ran this business and other business endeavours until his passing, John never really fully retired. John was pleased to have his son’s join the construction business.

He valued hard work and honest dealings, and took pride is doing things the right way which we all know was his way!

We will miss our talks with John, in person or by phone ...on the patio, or in the shop by the wood burning stove, hours spent chatting with him about life and sharing stories.

He will be greatly missed by his wife of 59 years, and his kids, good bye “Logan Berry” "Rudy Rootbeer" , "Big John”, "Dad”
