Jonathan was born in Surrey, BC, the second of four children to Anne and Gregory Coyle. He grew up in Langley where he attended St. Catherine’s Elementary School, Langley Fundamental Middle School, Langley Secondary School, and Langley Education Center. As a child, Jonathan attended St. Joseph’s Church and was involved in Scouts Canada. Jonathan became a very skilled tradesman including rebar, roofing, stucco, and construction. He also started his own business as a handyman.
Jonathan is survived by his mother Anne (Steve), his two sisters Amanda (Dave) and Theraesa (Dan), his brother Nathaniel, his niece Eva, and his two nephews John and Felix. His father, Gregory, predeceased him five months earlier.
Jonathan was a young man with a big heart. He was gentle, compassionate, and caring. He was smart and witty. His smile, laughter, and sense of humor lit up every room. He was very spiritual and was always searching for his higher power. He loved animals and children. He was devoted to his family and loved ones. He always wanted to be the provider for his family. He left a mark on the hearts of everyone he met.
Jonathan lived a difficult life and passed from an illness brought on by this life. We ask that you show mercy on those persons who are suffering from mental illness, homelessness, and the hardships of society, and that you support those who are trying to alleviate their suffering.
Jonathan was a son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. His memory will live on forever.
