It has been a very long time since our Class of '52 signed out of good ol' Armstrong High, where Joyce was one of 28 grads. She was loved by all of us and we will miss her very much.

Whether she was sharing stories about her music students, describing the accomplishments of Wes, Marijean or Fred (her ROCK), or telling tales about life on Gambier, Joyce shared her own special self. In so doing, she lead the way in celebrating EVERY day!  Our lengthy friendship began in the Alumni Association of the Royal Conservatory of Music some forty-five years ago.  In Joyce's honour, a contribution will be made to the Vancouver Foundation Alumni Scholarship Fund.  May family and friends find comfort in Joyce's legacy. “

Fred and family,  I knew Joyce as a talented teacher and musician affiliated with the Alumni of the Royal Conservatory of Music . She was always a bright light and our group shared our friendship and talents at a monthly playing class. We will all miss her. In her honour I have sent a contribution to the Vancouver Foundation Alumni Scholarship Fund.
