At age 97 years, Lois passed peacefully into the presence of her Lord on Nov 24, 2020. She will be remembered for her love of life, her resilience, and her ability to adapt to life's many seasons. She loved her family and found joy in being generous. Lois enjoyed people and made friends at every stage of her life. Her strong faith in God and commitment to her church were foundational to her. One of her favourite hymns was 'I would rather have Jesus'. A scripture that described Mom's faith is Psalm 62:1-2. Truly my soul finds rest in God; my salvation comes from him. Truly he is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will never be shaken.
Lois is predeceased by her husband of 60 years James Stonely, and her six brothers. She will be lovingly remembered by: son David (Joy); daughter Patti (Jeff); grandchildren Greg (Laurelle), Julie (Bill), Steven (Becka) and Robin; great grandson Levi. She is survived by her sisters Aldyth, Eleanor and sisters-in law Val, Joan, Micheline, Joan and Evelyn.
