Maxine Gray

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of our dear mother, grandmother and sister at the Langley Hospice Centre. Born on the Geiger family farm near Fife Lake, Sask., Maxine came to Vancouver at the age of 5. Predeceased by her husband Thomas J. Gray and her parents, Frank X. Geiger and Katharina Weissmaller, Maxine is survived by her children, Bruce Gray (Marg), Michael Gray and Kathyrn Platt (Norm), her grandchildren, Andrew, Dayanna, Michelle, Riley and Trevor and her sister, Shirley Gibbard (Glen). Maxine battled numerous serious illnesses and bore all of them with courage. The family would like to thank physicians Dr. S. Desai (family physician) and Dr. R. Sawhney (B.C. Cancer Agency) for their attentive care. We especially want to thank Dr. M. Adamson and all of the nurses and volunteers at the Langley Hospice for easing her final days. In lieu of flowers the family would greatly appreciate donations to the Langley Hospice Society. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Janaury 18 at 10:30 am, St. Joseph's Catholic church 20680 Fraser Highway, Langley, BC. Maxine has bravely completed her life journey and now rests in glory.
