I am a Respiratory Therapist  and former Coworker of Lorraine . When I was first hired she took me under her wing because she saw I loved the L&D world.  She was full of energy and smiles and was well liked by all. I send my deepest condolences to her family 🙏🏻💔

Dear Peter -  My condolences to you as you journey through this difficult time.

Dear Peter and family,
We had just learned of this sad news.  Our hearts go out to you and the family during this difficult time.

This was the last time we met in April 2023 for our Aunt Vera's 100th birthday gathering in the Okanagan Valley. It was great to catch up again and share with each other what we've been both working on with the family genealogy which we both have a passion for. She was visibly tired but wouldn't have missed this gathering for the world as she told me even though many people with her condition may have. 

You will be missed by many dear cousin, but at least your troubles and pain caused by this insidious cancer are now over. The grief of your loss will be endured in the memories of those you leave behind, but my wish and hope is the good memories will be more powerful than the ones currently being made with the knowledge your suffering has come to an end. Farewell for now and hopefully we can meet again in the next plane of existence and play a few games of cribbage with our ancestors . . .

We have many happy  memories of time spent with “Red”.   We know her loss pains you and we share in your grief.  A courageous, gracious and selfless woman.

We met Lorraine through our niece Paulette, who went to respiratory school with her. Lorraine was soft-spoken, sweet and kind, with a great positive outlook on life and a fun sense of humour. She was a joy to be around and we were blessed to have known her.
A very fond memory for us was when we went to our first annual cribbage themed potluck dinner event at Lorraine and Peter’s home.  We were a little nervous as we were the newbies in the group but Lorraine and Peter made us feel so welcome and at ease in their home, introducing us to everyone and making us feel like a part of their gang. It was such a fun night and we were stuffed with all of the delicious food everyone brought. Lorraine was an incredible cook and always made the most delicious dishes.  And she shared the recipes too! We looked forward to and went to more of these annual cribbage dinner tournaments at the Macbeth’s place over the next few years and had a blast every time. We were sad when they moved to BC and the cribbage tourneys ended in Winnipeg. We still think about those great times often. 

Gone are the days we used to share, but in our hearts, you are always there.  
You left us beautiful memories to treasure, and you are missed beyond measure.

We met Lorraine about fifteen years ago at a party they hosted in their home.  About a year later we met again at a coworkers wedding.  This is when Lorraine joined our ladies Monday night golf group.  Lorraine mentioned that we should check out these townhomes.  We ended up buying one only to find out our next door neighbours were Pete and Lorraine.  We hit the jackpot having them for neighbours and friends enjoying many spontaneous happy hours and lots of golf.  Lorraine impressed us with her positive attitude towards everything.  We love you and will miss you Lorraine❣️
