Peter was born 94 years ago and lived through WWII in his birthplace, London England. After the war he began attending his local church, and found support, encouragement and life-long friendship through the Boys Brigade group. There Peter became a Christian and remained devoted to following Jesus his whole life. He trained as a Mechanical Design Engineer, whilst also holding down a full-time job to support his family.
Peter and his first wife Doreen emigrated to Canada in 1964 with their children Pauline and Adrian. When the marriage ended 8 years later Peter found new love with Jennifer and together, they raised 3 more sons: David, Stephen and Jeremy.
He retrained for a new career as a realtor and worked with Sussex Realty for a number of years. Peter’s interests included WWII history and its aircraft, as well as Christian mission in the world, but most of all he loved his time with family and friends. His love of laughter and simple joys of family and friendships will be fondly remembered by those who loved him.
In addition to his wife and children and their partners, Peter also leaves 9 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and family in England (brother Ray, sister Irene and many nieces and nephews) as well as a number of dear friends. Peter was pre-deceased by his younger brother Bobby.
A Memorial service for Peter will be held June 29th at 2 pm at Hillside Baptist Church, 870 Lynn Valley Rd., North Vancouver.
