OBITUARY

Robert Norman Mullock

September 8, 1931 – March 12, 2026
Obituary of Robert Norman Mullock
IN THE CARE OF

Henderson's Langley Funeral Home

Robert Norman Mullock, 94 years old, of Langley, B.C. passed away on March 12, 2026.

He was a man who treasured his family and all their successes: from building golf clubs for his grandchildren to planning amazing trips for he and mom. He was so proud of his entire family and relished his time with all his great and grand children.

Born in Kindersley, Saskatchewan on September 8, 1931, Dad was lucky enough to spend his working years doing his dream job, being an RCMP officer. He rose to the rank of Chief Superintendent, retiring in 1983. He and mom then spent their retired years traveling the world: Europe, Australia, Africa and Asia. Their happy place was Hawaii and they spent many memorable vacations basking in Oahu’s and Maui’s warm sun! For those who knew dad will remember him as always being there…from building fences, to showing up to the grandchildren’s events, to making sure there was milk in the fridge when you came home from a vacation.

Dad also lived a life of community service. Starting in the 1950’s as a Boy Scout Troop leader in Creston and a Saint John Ambulance instructor for twenty years. In the 1970’s he became actively involved in minor hockey; becoming the President of BC Minor Hockey Association and the Senior Director for the Canadian Amateur Hockey Association. After he retired, junior golf became a real passion for him. He was President of the BC Golf Association and transitioned to the Royal Canadian Golf Association as a Governor. In 2005, Sport BC presented dad with the “Daryl Thompson Award” for his contribution to sports in BC. We are forever grateful for the example he set and the love he gave.

He is survived by his children Randal (Maureen) and Brenda (Brian); grandchildren Adam (Natalie), Bradley (Julianna), Amanda (Tom), Matthew (Mackenzie), and Alison (Alex); great-grandchildren Emily, Frank, Addison, Stanley, Shelby, Peyton, Sianna, Easton, Amelia, and Arthur; and his sister Doreen Bradshaw. He was preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife of 62 years Joan (Brennen); parents Norman and Evelyn; siblings Raymond, Norma, John, William, and Dennis.

Services will be held on Friday, May 22, 2026 at 11:00 am, at Henderson’s Funeral Home in Langley, B.C. - 20786 Fraser Hwy, Langley.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Canadian Red Cross in his memory.
