

Roger was born June 8, 1949 in Wowota, Saskatchewan. Roger was the youngest of six children.
Predeceased by: Parents Joseph Ovide Berthelet and Amelie (Nee Assailly) Berthelet, Sister Eola and Al Johnson, Brother Remi and Marion (nee Dancsok) Berthelet, Brother Raymond Berthelet, Wife Barbara and stepson Lyle Merner.
Roger is survived by Sister Colette (John) Mozol, Sister- in-law Betty Berthelet, Brother Paul (Elaine) Berthelet, Stepdaughter Susan (Sean) Darrah, Daughter in law Gabriela Merner, numerous Nieces and Nephews, Grandchildren Cody, Courtney, Ethan, Omar, Danny and Monica.
Roger attended grade school and started high school in Esterhazy Saskatchewan. He graduated from St Joseph's college in Otterburne, Manitoba. He was employed by the Royal Bank of Canada and worked in many locations across Western Canada. Later in his Career he supported a family business Pace Processing in the Finance Dept and continued on to work for LaFarge until his retirement.
Roger met the love of his life Barb and married her in Cancun Mexico January 13, 2000. Many of Roger’s and Barb’s family attended, Barb’s son Lyle gave her away.
Roger enjoyed many good times especially, family vacations to the Berthelet Cabin at Kenosee Lake, Saskatchewan and his timeshare in Whistler. Roger had many hobbies, but hockey and golf were his favorite past times along with wine making, which he was good at.
Roger spent his last years in a care home in Surrey Brookside Lodge.
Roger’s smile and good sense of humor will never be forgotten.
