MacGREGOR, Sylvia (nee Hutchinson) August 22, 1926 - June 18, 2011. Our bright light has passed on. Sylvia was an intellectually curious woman who excelled academically, winning a scholarship to university. She had a strong sense of social justice and was an avid reader, gardener, bridge player and lover of libraries. She had a lifelong interest in birding. Raised in Montreal, she maintained a close relationship with her parents, Elsa and Len and her sister Norma. She married her Scot and #1 fan Alistair and remained happy with that decision over the course of their 60 years together. Sylvia was a supportive, interested and loving mother to Anne (Deb) and Alison (Calum). She was proud of her grandchildren Laura and Kyle. She valued her friendships deeply. Her loving caring is irreplaceable. We miss her terribly. Service: Thursday June 23 at 10:00 am. Henderson's Funeral Home Langley 20786 Fraser Hwy.
