Vic marched to the beat of his own drum down to the very last minute. He passed away peacefully at Royal Columbian Hospital after suffering a heart attack two days prior. He was surrounded by his family who all love him very much. He will always be remembered for his infectious smile, laugh and wicked, mischievous sense of humour along with his insatiable curiosity and interest in life and beyond. He was a student and a teacher, intellectual and artist, a creator and forward-thinker and he did it all wholeheartedly with a furious passion to learn and grow.
Vic leaves behind his wife of 48 years, Georgina, his daughter Paula, his son Eliot, son-in-law Doug and daughter-in-law Megan. His five grandchildren – Bennett, Madelaine, Isabella, Ava Blue and Charlie – will miss him dearly. Vic made a huge impact on each of their young lives.
A celebration of Vic’s amazing life will be held at Newlands Golf Course on Monday, June 16 from 3 pm to 6 pm. Please bring your stories and memories with you and we will share together in a wonderful celebration of a wonderful man’s journey.
In lieu of flowers, you may make a donation to the Salvation Army, Royal Columbian Cardiac Care, contact 604.520.4438, or a charity of your choice.
Arrangements under the direction of Henderson's Langley Funeral Home, Langley, BC.
