Age 32, beloved mother, daughter and sister passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, July 6, 2023. She was born on July 8, 1990 to J. Michael and Shirley O’Briant in Lansing. Abby graduated from Grand Ledge High School in 2008. She then went to the Douglas J Aveda Institute to receive her cosmetology license. This led to a career that she loved, doing what she loved - making people feel good about themselves. Surviving are her cherished son (the love of her life), Liam Michael McKenzie; father, J. Michael O’Briant; mother, Shirley (Donald) Kowalk; sister, Katie (John) Wenstrom and two nieces, Cora Dee Wenstrom and Mia Virginia Wenstrom. Abby was laid to rest on July 12, 2023 at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Lansing.
