Age 83, a loving mother passed away August 6, 2020 at home with her daughter at her side. She was born October 9, 1936 in Havana, Cuba. Amparo arrived in the United States from Cuba on December 24, 1970. She was a graduate of Mercy College - Bachelor’s in Education. She was a Headstart teacher in Hackensack, New Jersey for 15 years. See lived in Union City, NJ; Bogota, NJ; Bradenton, FL; Sarasota, FL, and Lansing, MI.
Surviving are her devoted daughter, Lizet Hernandez; 2 brothers, Luis Alberto Paez and Francisco Paez; and many other family members and friends. Amparo was preceded in death by her husband, Heliodoro Hernandez; and her parents, Felicia and Francisco Paez.
Services will be held next year in Florida at Skyway Memorial where she will laid to rest next to her husband.
