Andrea Shaw

of Lansing, MichiganOur loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend died Friday, February 6, 2009 in Lansing at the age of 75. Andrea was born May 21, 1933 in Lansing, Michigan and was the daughter of Elden and Blanche (Vidian) Myers. Andrea lived in the Lansing area her entire life. She graduated from Lansing Eastern High School and went to the St. Louis Institute in St. Louis, Missouri graduating with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Music Theory. She taught piano for over 30 years and retired from the State of Michigan Department of Revenue in 1968. She loved to read and did beautiful oil paintings. Surviving is her husband of 53 years, Lawson D.; daughter, Sheri L. (W. Scott) Shaw Johnson of Franklin, TN; granddaughters, Alexandrea Jean and Lauren Katelyn Johnson of Franklin, TN; brother, Jack E. Myers of California; and many friends. Visitation is 2-4, 6-8PM Monday, February 9, 2009 with Funeral Services 2:00PM Tuesday, February 10, 2009 at Tiffany Funeral Home, 3232 West Saginaw, Lansing 48917. Interment is Delta Center Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the Capital Area Humane Society, 7095 W. Grand River Avenue, Lansing 48906 in memory of Andrea.
