

Andrew Joel Grosnickle, affectionately known as "Andy" or "Batman" to his GM friends, passed away on December 27, 2025, at the age of 56. He was a resident of Potterville, Michigan, and was born on March 9, 1969, in Lansing, Michigan, to Richard and Connie Grosnickle. Andy graduated from Potterville High School in 1987 and worked various jobs, including AC&E Rentals and Self Storage in Grand Ledge, before joining General Motors at the Grand River Plant in 2012.
He was married to Susan Grosnickle on August 17, 2007, at the English Inn in Eaton Rapids. Andy had a passion for collecting comic books and superhero collectibles, with the Hulk being his favorite. He was a fan of the Green Bay Packers. Halloween was his most cherished holiday, during which he would transform his home into a festive haunt. He enjoyed Halloween and each year would set up decorations at his house and become “a vampire” for the evening. He always said, “If a little girl pees her pants or cries on my front porch, then I have done a good job.”
Andy is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 18 years, Susan Grosnickle; stepsons, Raymond Moody and Brian Royce (Terri Lennox) Moody; brothers, Brian (Karen) Grosnickle and Richard “Rick” Grosnickle II. Brother-in-law, Jim (Diane Merchant) Gross, Bob (Jessica) Gross; Sister-in-law, Angie (Fred) Szelag; Bonus grandchildren, Cooper and Evelyn Merrifield; Nephew and Nieces: Brian Paul (Becca) Grosnickle, Ashleigh (Sean) Alderink, Tyler Gross, Jordan Grosnickle, Zander Gross, Audra, Luke, and Lydia Szelag. Special friends: Joe and Keli Pope and Bonus Nephews and Niece: Xavier, Poseidon, and Zoey Pope
He was preceded in death by his parents, father and mother-in-law, Norman and Nancy Wood, and uncles, Erwin French and Junior Grosnickle.
A memorial service will be held on January 17, 2026, at Pennway Church of God in Lansing, Michigan, with a meet and greet with the family starting at 10:00 am, followed by the service at 11:00 am. A luncheon will follow the service. Interment will take place at Evergreen Cemetery in Lansing, Michigan, at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that time be spent with a loved one in need.
