

Ann Greer peacefully passed away at the age of 98 on November 25, 2024. She was born Anna Merle Hallmark on July 7, 1926, in Custer County, Oklahoma. She married Robert Lee Greer in 1947 in Custer, Oklahoma, raised her three children in Clare, Michigan and has called Lansing, Michigan her home since 1974.
Ann was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to many. She lived a full and active life focused on her faith, family and community. She always had a smile on her face and kindness in her heart. Ann cared for others throughout her life as a registered nurse. She loved music whether she was listening to her family perform or singing in her church choirs all of her life. She was a fiercely competitive card player and a devoted MSU Spartan fan.
Ann is survived by her children, Debbie (Deborah Ann Stabenow), Lynn (Roger Lynn Greer), Lee (Robert Lee Greer II), and her daughter-in-law, Debbie Greer; her grandchildren, Todd (Sara) Stabenow, Michelle (Scott) Wilson; Lindsey (Craig) Fischer, Nicole Frazier, Barry Greer, Kimberly (Jeff) Klann, Mackenzie (Allie) Greer and 11 great-grandchildren (with one on the way), as well as many other family members, and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, her parents, C.L. and Lola Hallmark, and her siblings Elmo and Louise.
The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to Compassus hospice care and to so many other health care providers who gave Ann excellent care in her final weeks.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Grace United Methodist Church in Lansing in a few weeks. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are suggested to Grace United Methodist Church.
