Annie Melia Burton

On October 30, 2014 the Lord called home Annie M. Burton, 79, of Lansing. Born July 31, 1935 in Aberdeen, Mississippi. She was a long standing Member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church and retired from Lansing School District. She loved to cook and spent many years cooking at Mr. Kenny's Restaurant.

She was preceded in death by her parents Gilson Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Burton, brothers Peter (Beatrice), William, Houston , Gilson Jr. (Mary Alice), Penison, Napoleon (Katherine), sisters, Elizabeth (Mack) Kelly, Mattie Sue (Clarence) Dixon, and Amelia Burton. Survived by one sister Emmaline (Peter) Evans, five children Jackie Burton, Wendy (John) Grace, Luvenia "Niecy" Burton, Darrell Burton, Eric Burton, 13 Grandchildren, nine Great Grandchildren, a host of Nieces and Nephews and many extended family and friends.

Services will be held at 11am on Friday Noveber 7, 2014 at Solid Rock Baptist Church, 2410 S. Pennsylvania Ave., Lansing, MI, family will recieve vistitation from 10:00 to 11:00am one hour before the service. To leave online condolences visit www.tiffanyfuneralhome.com.
