Arlene Duzek

After graduating from high school, Arlene began working for the Michigan Bell Telephone Company. She later married Delbert J. Duzek, and together they made their home in Lansing, Michigan, where they raised their two daughters, Debra and Julie. Arlene devoted many years to being a stay-at-home mother before returning to the workforce, first with Big Brothers/Big Sisters and later with the office of Dr. Dennis Brownridge, where she worked until her retirement.

Arlene loved life and embraced it fully. She treasured family gatherings, camping, traveling, and spending many winters in Gulf Shores, Alabama. She enjoyed over 30 years of playing volleyball and formed lasting friendships through the sport. Arlene and Del fulfilled a lifelong dream by building their country home in Eaton Rapids, where she enjoyed the outdoors and the company of wonderful friends and neighbors.

She also found joy in cooking, oil painting, working outside, and spending time at McLain State Park. Above all else, Arlene’s family meant everything to her.

She is survived by her loving daughters, Debra (Chuck) Keck and Julie (Tim) Suchodolski; her cherished grandson, Dr. Aaron (Brad Bednar) Keck; and many dear nieces, nephews, and their families. She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband of 56 years, Delbert Duzek, who passed away in 2012; and her sisters, Avis (Don) Recchy, Audrey (Jim) Duzek, and Ardyce (Earl) Prosser.

A funeral service for Arlene will be held on Saturday, December 20, 2025 at 11:00 AM, with a one-hour prior visitation from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, at Gorsline Runciman Tiffany Chapel, 3232 W Saginaw St., Lansing, MI 48917, Pastor Joe Robbe officiating.

Arlene left a final message for her family and friends: “I love you ALL. GOD BLESS!” Her love, kindness, and joy for life will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
