Age 82, our loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away September 27, 2013. Born October 27, 1930 in Lansing, MI. Barbara retired from the Michigan Secretary of State after many years of service. She was active with several groups.
Surviving are her 3 children, Melissa Simpson, Lorraine (Edward) Coronado, and Joel Gilmore; numerous loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren; brother, Carl W. Light; and many, nieces, nephews, cousin, and friends. Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Donald in 1995; sons, Jeffery and Jeremy Gilmore; daughter, Melinda Gilmore.
Visitation is from 11:00 to 12:00 P.M. Monday with services 12:00 P.M. Monday Sept. 30th, in the Tiffany Funeral Home, 3232 W. Saginaw, Lansing with Pastor James Robinson officiating. Interment Deepdale Memorial Park. Friends may visit the guest book at www.tiffanyfuneralhome.com.
