Belle Louise Polihonki passed away on December 25, 2015 at the age of 95. She was born in Lansing to Fred and Jessie Louise Strauser on July 31, 1920. She graduated from Eastern High School in 1939, worked for the Civil Air Patrol, JC Walters Insurance Company, and most importantly a homemaker. Belle married Steve Polihonki on November 3, 1945. They were married for close to 34 years until his death in 1979. From this union they had three daughters: Nancy Huntington (Greg), Susan Silky (Robert), and Patricia Bokovoy. Belle loved watching her Detroit Tigers, playing cards, and BACON! But most of all she loved being a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and twin brothers Laurence and Laurel. Besides her daughters, Belle is survived by seven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild, a special nephew Larry Strauser and by Lorinda Sallek (Dave) a special fourth daughter. Sincere gratitude to the staff at Heartland, Comfort Keepers, and Eaton Community Palliative Care, with special appreciation to Nathan (at-home visiting nurse). The funeral will be held at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes East Chapel, 1730 E. Grand River, on Wednesday December 30, at 11:00am with visitation one hour prior, from 10-11am.
