Betty Jean Monroe, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 27, 2025, surrounded by family. She was born May 11, 1927, in Ionia, the daughter of Newton and Elsie (Wade) Clark. She shared 77 wonderful years of marriage with her husband, Elson Monroe, a true testament to enduring love and partnership.
Betty built a life full of care and dedication—not only to her family, but also to her community through her own cleaning business, where her hard work and kindness touched countless homes. She was the proud mother of nine children, each of whom she guided with her strength, humor, and unconditional love.
