He was retired from G.M.P.D. and spent six years in the National Guard.
Billy enjoyed his cars and motorcycles and growing tomatoes.
He also enjoyed seeing his grandson, Ty, play baseball even if he got caught in the rain.
He will be missed by his loving family.
Billy was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Jean; parents, Thurman and Fern; and sisters, Mary Alice and Janie.
He is survived by his sons, John and Jeff (Pam); sister, Judy (Ed) Search; and grandson, TY.
His wish was to be cremated. A memorial service will be held on June 5, 2021 at 11 a.m. at the Tiffany Funeral Home, 3232 W. Saginaw, Lansing. Visitation before service at 10 a.m.
