Blayke Manauel Luna-Schwarz, age 29, of Lansing, Michigan passed away on Thursday, August 19, 2021. Blayke was born March 18, 1992 in Lansing, Michigan, and was a lifelong Lansing resident. He was a well-known salesman at American Freight, and won awards for his impressive sales skills over the years.
Blayke loved cars, motorcycles, bikes - anything that moved. If he could add lights, add radios, add speed, he loved it even more. He was always working on and tweaking his rides to make them unique with his "Luna" signature style. He was a collector of Air Jordans and Chicago Bulls hats, and loved to play basketball.
More than cars, more than Air Jordans, and more than the Bulls, Blayke's heart beat for his family. He was their rock, his mama's keeper, and everyone's friend whose smile truly lit up the room. He considered his dogs Henny and Oso to be family as well and showered them with affection. Whether he was grilling in the backyard, hanging outside, playing X-box, or just joking around, Blayke's love for his family was evident to everyone lucky enough to know him.
He was preceded in death by his stepmother, Katrina Pace; grandfather, John Bruce Schwarz Jr.; grandmother, Santos Martinez; great-grandmother and great-grandfather Armond and Wanda (Keke) Sprague; and mentor, Damany Doby.
Blayke will be lovingly remembered by his mother, Stacy (Schwarz) Class; father, Joe Martinez; children, LeighAyna Luna and Blayke M. Luna-Schwarz Jr.; their mother, Danielle Jimenez; his fiancée, Deanna Garza; his siblings, Brittany Fischer, Mario Luna Jr., Juan Luna, and Selena Luna; his nieces and nephews, Aleigha McClelland, Juan Luna Jr., Amelia Clark, Carter Luna, and Natalie Luna; his grandparents, Barbara Schwarz, Shirley Schwarz and Gilbert Martinez; great-grandma, Jeanetta Gibson; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.
A visitation for Blayke will be held Tuesday, August 24, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 900 East Michigan Ave, Lansing, MI 48912. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes.
