Bonita Lynn Finch

Bonita Lynn (Long) Finch, age 62, of Holt, passed away on Tuesday, May,2nd, 2023 after a long and very courageous battle against Lymphoma and Pancreatic cancer. She was born on November 29th, 1960 to Arnie and Mary Long.

Bonita was raised in Holt, Michigan and she lived her Dash to the fullest. She attended Holt high school and while education at the time wasn’t important to her, she did earn her diploma.

Bartending was her calling and that is where she met her husband Larry. She spent many years bartending at Frank’s Pub, making lifelong friends of her coworkers and customers.

After losing her husband at an early age, she had a second chance at love with her long time partner Dana Jarrad. He helped heal her heart and live her life to the fullest.

In her free time Bonita enjoyed gardening and fishing. Her favorite place to fish was “the gravel pit”.

Her greatest accomplishment in life was what she was born to do….Be a Gramma (never Grandmother old women are Grandmothers).

Bonita is preceded in passing by her husband, Larry Finch; her father, Arnie Long; and her nephew Zack. She is survived by her daughters, Trisha Lynn (Troy) Best, Traci Rene (Dion) Finch, and Tori Rene (Demond) Finch; her mother Mary Long; her longtime partner, Dana Jarrad; her grandchildren, Abigail, Tate, Braylon, Dion Jr., London, Alise, and Leila; siblings Alan (Debi) Long, Donna (Mark) Jeffery, Jeff Long, Brenda Long, Sandie (Warren) Foster, Willie (Joyce) Long, and Sheila Long; and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank Bonita’s special friends Raeann Comstock and Kaye Rhodabeck for their care.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 12th, from 12-2pm and from 6-8pm and Rosary at 7:30pm, with a funeral service being held on Saturday, May 13th, at 11 AM, at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Home, Tiffany Chapel, located at 3232 West Saginaw Highway, Lansing, MI 48917.
