

of Lansing, MichiganMr. Fratzke entered into eternal life on May 19, 2007 at the age of 75. He was born on January 23, 1932 in Deutsch Wymischle, Poland to Gottlieb and Karoline (nee Mielke) Fratzke. With his family, he fled the advancing Russian Army in January 1945 and settled in Buchholz am Aller, Germany. In 1952, he immigrated to the United States and married Ella Hopp. Bruno was employed at Oldsmobile for 35 years. He was a member of Emanuel First Lutheran Church serving on the church council and, for many years, as an usher and especially enjoyed ringing the bells. He was also a past member of the Lansing Liederkranz Club. He was a faithful husband, loving father, and wonderful Opa. He was predeceased by his parents; sister, Hedwig; and brother, Otto. Survivors include his wife, Ella; daughters, Evelyn Fratzke and Barbel ?Barb? DeWitt; granddaughter, Jessica DeWitt; siblings, Sigismund (Hildegarde) Fratzke, Delilla (R.C.) Richardson, Waldemar (Bette) Fratzke, and Frieda (Brent) Reed; in-laws, and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 2-4 & 6-8pm Thursday May 24, 2007 at Tiffany Funeral Home, 3232 West Saginaw, Lansing. Funeral Services will be 11:00AM Friday May 25, 2007 at Emanuel First Lutheran Church, 1001 N. Capitol Ave, Lansing with Pastor Paul J. Lindloff and Pastor Timothy H. Buelow, officiating. There will be viewing from 10-11AM at the church before the service. Interment is Evergreen Cemetery. The family wishes to thank the staff of Ingham Regional Medical Center, especially Dr. Strandmark, Dr. Hanses, the staff of Hospice House and Pastor Lindloff. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Emanuel First Lutheran Church or Hospice House of Mid-Michigan in memory of Bruno.
