With heavy hearts we announce that Carla Jones was called home to be with Lord in Heaven unexpectedly on April 24, 2015. Carla was born to Carl and Rosalee Jones on March 6, 1962 in Lansing. She loved to take care of her nieces and nephews. Carla had a heart of gold, and there wasn’t anybody that she didn’t love. She was a Crossing Guard for East Lansing for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents and her precious nephew, Ronnie Lee Jones, Jr. She is survived by siblings, Carlene (Johnny) Verwey, Charlene (Phil) Valley, Ronnie Jones, Robert Jones, Raymond (Kathy) Jones; 17 nieces and nephews; and 16 great nieces and nephews. A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 3, 2015 at Towar Heart Baptist Church, 6157 Towar Ave., East Lansing, MI. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the Service at the church. The family is being served by Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, Lansing Chapel.
